I am very big on Christmas ans believe it or not, I found this rendering software package that lets you upload a picture of your house and decorate it for Christmas. It has many types of general displays and lighting options that the general stores have in stock. You can actually put lights right on the picture of your house and see how it would look. Then when you are done, you can print out the picture and go decorate your house by the picture so that you know where everything goes. This means that you no longer have to stand out in the cold trying to figure out where you are going to put those lights.  I could have also used interior design rendering software to visualize how I could redecorate my house for other occasions as well.
