Historical Forex Data to Predict Future Performance

July 10th, 2009 | by admin |

I’ve been trying to determine trends in the foreign exchange market, but I know that past data can’t predict future performance. Still, I was hoping to correlate certain world events with the historical forex data so that I could look for indicators of change dependent upon national political occurrences. It seems like a valid tact for currency investing, but it’s easier said then done. What I’ve tried to do is look for any significant peaks and valleys in opposing directions between any two single nations and link it to events that happened up to 6 months previously. So far it’s been mostly just data collecting and I haven’t compiled any significant indicators as yet.
