Report symptoms consistent with cancer of the pancreas to your doctor.  The doctor will determine whether it is cancer of the pancreas by running tests.  The doctor may order an ultrasound which uses waves to locate tumors.  There is also a CT scan which is an x-ray taken by a computer to make a picture of the inside of the abdomen.  An MRI makes a picture of the inside of the abdomen by using magnetic waves.

Other tests may be conducted to determine whether or not cancer of the pancreas exists.
