Pain present after back surgery

March 23rd, 2008 | by admin |

Some patients tend to have pain symptoms after back surgery. Reasons may include errors in correcting anatomical disorders or maybe an inappropriate diagnosis. A surgeon could fail to remove and correct tissue areas which contribute to the patient’s discomfort or an incomplete diagnosis is used.A few steps are taken in the rehabilitation process after back surgery, including physical therapy aimed at the muscles surrounding the operated area, muscles that had problems caused by nerves in the incision area, and the vertebral muscles that support the entire backbone. Training the small muscles for each vertebrae will protect the operation site from further damage. Also, a range of extreme motions need to be removed from everyday activities, movements that will impair the recovery of the patient.
