Backyard Hammock Washing

January 20th, 2009 | by admin |

Most backyard hammocks are washable, but it must be done in a certain way. If you own a rope hammock you will want to handle it by the loop ends to avoid tangling. Regardless of type, it should also be washed in cold water using the gentle cycle. Use only a very mild detergent, such as Woolite, and do not wash with any other items. You should hang it or lay it flat to dry.

Another good option is to hand wash your hammock. By hand washing your rope hammock, you will avoid any tangling that might have occurred when using a washer. All you do is fill a bucket with water and a mild detergent, hold the hammock by a loop end and dip into the bucket. Squeeze the backyard hammocks and push it in and out of the bucket. Then, hang it on a hook to rinse and hang to dry.
