Women’s Baby Doll Sweaters? What’s Gotten into Today’s Workforce?

Here’s what I’m wondering: as an employer, what ever happened to dress code standards? Perhaps I’m showing my age here, but I was under the impression that apparel that is worn to work should be modest and dignified — not an excuse to look hot and sexy. I was really upset the other day when a secretary in our firm wore a woman’s baby doll sweater. You know the kind I’m talking about — those things are really form-fitting and tight, and invariably leave the midsection exposed. I realize that’s a great way to catch a man’s eye, but I still think that’s highly inappropriate in the workplace.
